Each wallet is painstakingly hand-stitched using a proven heritage technique called “saddle stitching”. This is done entirely by hand, and produces an incredibly strong stitch. Unlike a “lock stitch” produced by a sewing machine, where the item may start to come apart if the thread is broken in even just one place, a saddle-stitched item is much stronger. A single break in the thread will not usually allow the item to come apart, as two complete threads in a continuous figure of eight hold the parts together.
